THE BOOKS OF AKINBAMI OLUWAGBEMIGA

Think about some fine African writers who have done well to pen books in their Mother Tongue (African languages): the great Ngugi wa Thiong’o (Kenya) in Kikuyi, K.P. D Maphalla (South Africa) in Sesotho, Okot p’bitek (Uganda) in Acholi.

And do not discount Akinbami Oluwagbemiga (Nigeria) who has written and published a series of didactic, entertaining and educational books in the Yoruba language. Titles from him include the following:

ABD Akotun

Asiko Eda

Ipinnu Lanleyin

Inu Jin

Adigun

Aro

Aye o pin

Ta lo mo?

N o ko

Gbese lomoge

Mafeloosi

Aye Obinrin

Eniyan

Agba Seun

Yoruba Akoye
